Don’t settle

Don’t settle

I can’t understand why we settle, we settle for a job we don’t like, we settle for things and we settle for people and relationships. You cant find a job, so you settle for the first one, even though you hate it and it makes you miserable. People settle in relationships all the time.
I can’t get why some people don’t want to be alone so bad that they will settle on the first person that comes along, afraid they wont find someone else.

I have friends who are beautiful, smart, kind and funny settling for dirt bags, with no jobs, living off of them. While they are at work, these guys are sitting in their homes, eating their food, doing nothing to help out, really are you kidding me?
Or the woman who lets a lying, cheating man back over and over, getting hurt every time. Do you not have a mirror? Do you not see your value like I do? Do you not see this incredible women you are? Why are you settling?

Same goes for men, yes, I know good looking, rich, smart men who stay in a relationship where they are miserable, mistreated and belittled, again why? Why do they insist to keep going back when they know nothing changes when nothing changes?
Didn’t I just write about that yesterday?

They have so much love to give, they are great dad’s, great son’s, terrific friends, why do they not know their own self worth?

You need to wake up and see what we see, you need to know its okay to be alone rather than to be in a relationship that your dying in, trust me happiness is so much better. Yes, its scary out there, dating sucks and some nights its lonely as hell but the peace you feel inside is worth it all. If you truly have the one for you, it will be a fifty-fifty relationship, you will not be put down, taken advantage of, lied to or cheated on.

They will build you up, tell you, you can do anything, they will be your biggest cheerleader. They will be there for you to tell your secrets to, to depend on, you will feel loved and you will do the same for them. If they are not, then they are not the one, move on, get out, start over!
For most of us this is the second part of our lives, most of us have lost loved ones, I know I have lost too many and it makes it very real, that this time is precious and way too short to be unhappy. It could be over tomorrow and here you spent the last year,10 years, 20 years being unhappy, really? Not me! I have already done that, wasted 24 years in a misrable marriage, crying every night.

No, I want to live each day like its my last, I want this peace and joy I feel at this moment to last a lifetime. If I get to share this with a wonderful man that would incredible, but I refuse to settle, I will be alone for the rest of my life than settle. That’s a bold statement your thinking, yes, it is if you felt the peace and joy I feel and then have it taken away like I have recently, you would realize that you will do anything to get it back!

So, yes I will not be settling and neither should you my friend, look in the mirror, see what I see, know your worth and except nothing less than you deserve, life is too short! Fill your life with people you love and who love you, improve yourself, get interests and hobbies, volunteer or exercise, find new friends but fill it with things that make you happy!

So today my friends, always rememeber how many people love you and will be there for you, let go of the ones holding you back and then take the next step to be happy with yourself and know you will never settle again.

Be your own hero

Be your own hero

I read this saying this morning and I just had to write about it.
It went like this, don’t give your courage away to someone who can’t appreciate it, don’t give your patience away to people who will abuse it… don’t look for someone to be your hero, be your own hero.

Don’t let someone take over your life, your soul, don’t expect them to be your whole life, to fill your being with themselves, to change yourself to please them, to “complete” them.

No, you need to have someone who is filled already, who knows who they are, who is already complete and when you come together, its because you want to share this wonderful life you already have.

It’s like so many people who say when I lose weight then my life will start, when I get this job, the perfect person or the money… then my life will be complete and perfect.

You expecting something from the outside to do this for you, when you should be whole already, you should feel fulfilled on the inside of yourself, you don’t need another person to love you, you need to love yourself first.

Why do you think they tell you all the time on a plane to put the air mask on you first, then on your loved ones because if you have no air, you can’t help others.
If your not loving yourself,  if your not fulfilled, if your not happy within yourself nothing, no person, no amount of money, no job is going to do it.

I personally don’t want that responsibility, I don’t want someone to expect me to fill all their needs, to “complete” them, that’s not my job, I have to be my own hero…that is a job in it self. I can not, nor will I be responsible for another person’s happiness, that’s on you.

Believe me I tried for years, constantly trying to make other’s happy but it never worked, it didn’t matter what I did or didn’t do.
They were never happy nor would they ever be happy because I realized they weren’t happy within themselves. Until they changed themselves nothing I or anyone else  ever did would matter.

So today my friends remember, you are responsible for you, your health, your outlook on life, the things you want to change and your happiness.
Don’t wait for a hero to come along because they just might end up being a fake in tights, trust yourself, change your life, learn to be your own hero.

“Be the change you want to see”

“And just when the caterpillar thought his life over…he turned into a beautiful butterfly”

The March heard around the world

The march heard around the world

On Saturday I was proud to march with  a friend who was a Marjory Stoneman Douglas alumni at the Parkland march for our lives ralley.
This was an emotional day for her and the many others who had went to that school. She knew the teachers that were killed, she walked those halls, had classes in the same rooms as so many people died, she couldn’t believe this could happen in her beloved school.

So many people felt the same way, how did this happen in this quiet little town, in one of the safest areas of South Florida? So many of us just can’t wrap our heads around it.

We sat there and listened to one after another, as each students describe what it was like to be there the day of the shooting. Each person that got up on the podium to speak, made us cry more. Telling of how they lost their best friend, watched their teacher or saw their brother get killed in front of their own eyes.
Yet through all the pain they showed a strenght, they showed a courage to never let this happen to another school again. The message was clear here in Parkland and all around the world on Saturday “Enough is enough”

These students took this in their own hands, they were going to start a revolution, they were going to change things because us as adults have not.
They planned the rallies all over the country, they through social media made their voices heard and they pulled off one of the biggest events we had seen in years!

They reported 800,000 people marched in Washington and 30,000 marched in Parkland, many other cities across the United States and the world also came together to march as well. This was something we have not seen since Martin Luther King days.

It was an emotional day to say the least and the most emotional part came when we walked past the school itself, there was a silence in the crowd. There were flowers and signs, candles and teddy bears and crosses for the 17 people who had lost their lives there. People walked by with tears streaming down their faces, feeling the heartbreak, thinking that you send your child to school and then you never see them again. It was overwhelming the emotion we all felt that day.

I was proud to be there with these young people, our next generation who will run the world soon and to know that they did all of this.
That yes they have the heart, the love, the compassion and the strenght to fight against injustice. Good for them and I am glad I was part of their history.

I see much hope in our future through your eyes and I am here to say keep it up, change the world, make it a better place, stand up for your rights and these injustices and never stop being the voice of others who no longer have one.
You are our future, make it a great one.

There are 365 verses in the Bible that says fear not

There are 365 verses in the bible that says fear not

I know that fear once ruled my life, I was stuck, I felt hopeless, I never thought my situation would ever change. It had gotten so bad that I wanted it to end not once but twice in my lifetime and when both times went awry, I figured that I had to try something different.

It was then I gave my life to God, it was then I realized that I couldn’t do this by myself. I could be filled with fear or I could be filled with hope, I couldn’t be happy and be sad, I couldn’t feel hopeless and feel gratitude at the same time. I had to make a choice, which was it? Do I believe or do I have fear?

I chose to believe, even through the storms, I believed when I started this business as I was getting divorced, not taking care of myself for years, listening to him telling me I was worthless and couldn’t make it without him, even when my own mother told me I couldn’t do it, I believed in God, in his words “Fear not”

I believed him, as I knew what I was doing on my own wasn’t working. I knew what worrying, fear and stress did to me, it kept me from sleeping, from eating, it made my hair fall out, made me rush to the hospital thinking I was dying, for the doctor’s to tell me that it was stress…now here’s a bill you can’t pay for thousands of dollars to add to that! Have a nice day.

No, none of that worrying or stress change my circumstances, so why did I keep holding on to fear? It was comfortable, it was what I knew, it kept me in check, kept me misrable.

One day I decided to “Fear not” for everything in my life…my business, my bills, my children, everything…
I chose to let go of fear and I chose to follow God, to believe he can do anything.
It has not been easy, believe me when you give your life over to God, most people think things are going to be perfect and nothing bad will ever happen again, ha!

Reality check, no… you will still be on your knees asking “Didn’t I do all the right things, pray, forgive, tithe, come to church, love one another yet why God, is this still happening to me?”

But the difference is you won’t fear the future, you won’t fear the unknown for you know he has you in his hands and he will take care of it on his time, not yours. There may be lessons you still need to learn as I’ve learned before you can move on, before your season comes.

Yes, I have been through many storms and even still the storms still come, since I’ve turned my life over to God but the difference is I no longer worry…I pray and let God worry.
I step out past my fears, into peace knowing he will take care of me. As long as I trust him and the 365 times he speaks of “Fear not” I am good.

So today my friends remember you can do it, you can step out on faith, past your fears, you can change your life, it’s all up to you….

Overcoming life’s worst obstacles

Overcoming life’s worst obstacles

Yesterday I was blessed to work with a young women named Tranika Dufresne, who I was lucky enough to have met in church quite some years ago. When we started to get to know each other and told each other our stories, we realized we were both raped and with  that bond and the many other wonderful qualities she possessed, we became friends.

She has made it her life journey to shine the light on this unspoken travesty.
People who have been raped or sexual abused, people who are afraid to speak out, who don’t have a voice, she has took it upon herself to make it her life’s  mission and so with this and her tenacity, she set forth to make a documentary.

She found men and women from all walks of life, different backgrounds, different races, different economical backgrounds, to come forward and tell their stories.

I was blessed to be invited to tell my story on this amazing project.
I have told my story many times, yet somehow this time, with this young women who knew my pain, who cared about this so passionately, made it seem like the first time.

She cried with me, as she knew my pain, she made me pull up things I never thought of or repressed for so many years.
Her passion sparked my passion to be able to tell others of my story, to inspire others to keep going, to be a voice or a hand to someone who is struggling with the same issues.

This is our purpose, this is our dream to say it’s okay, I’ve been there, I feel your pain, it’s not your fault, we are going to speak out for you.

One of my favorite Will Smith quotes is: “The effect you have on others is the most valuable currency there is”

We went to have that effect on others, we want to be the advocates of this unspoken tragedy. We realize we are all the same, we have been hurt, been betrayed, been broken but  that is not who we are, that is just part of us and that, that did not kill us, made us stronger.

Her and her photographer Leroy and I talked for hours, we realized that we all have other jobs to pay the bills, but we all have a purpose that we are also trying to fulfill as well.

That for Tranika is in the entertainment business, I can clearly see her as her own version of Oprah, as she is so soft spoken and puts you at ease when she is speaking to you, she fully gives of herself and you feel it.
Leroy is a pastor of a small church he started, he knows this is his calling, his purpose but until then he keeps doing what he has to to pay the bills.
And as for me, well most of you who follow me know I want to be a New York Times best selling author, I want to be on the women of faith tour and an international blogger. I also want to be on Oprah Super Soul Sunday and have Tyler Perry produce the movie of my life story.

Yes, big dreams but when you are pursuing your pupose you have these dreams. You keep after them, no matter how many people may laugh at you or tell you that’s impossible, you know that is your calling, your purpose, your life’s mission, just like the three of us know that.

Somehow I feel this is going to be worldwide… this work of passion will touch many millions of people around the world.
Yes, I am putting this out there…
Because when your passionate, when your in God’s grace and when you are doing your purpose, his purpose, it will all come together.

So today my friends, remember do what your called to be, find your purpose, the gift you were giving and use it to help others, it might be your story, your words, you kind and compassionate heart. What ever it is, go after it, hold on it it, try it, even if it seems impossible because you might be the one to make a difference, change a life, inspire someone…
You can be that person to let someone know, that you can overcome life’s worst obstacles.

**I will keep you posted on all the social media outlets for the final date of the opening of this amazing documentary**

We never appriciate what we have

We never appriciate what we have

We always want more, bigger house, more money, better relationships, we are never satisfied.

We need to get up each morning to give thanks, to be grateful for what we have, to set our day, set your intent for that day.
It will be a good day, it will be better than yesterday, we need to leave the stuff in the past, there in the past, this is a new day.

We are never happy where we are at, you hate your job, you can’t stand to go there every day but if you were to lose that job and couldn’t find one for months, if you couldn’t pay your bills and you were struggling and then you got the same job again, you would be happy.
You didn’t appriciate your happiness when you first had it.

If your healthy, yet you always complain about things, always complain about your life and one day you got sick, you would appriciate what you had before, you would know your happiness.

Life is what you make it, happiness and joy is what you make it. I wrote about happiness vs joy this week, joy comes from inside that no matter what happens externally, we are still joyful.

My life is far from perfect, I am a single mom, I work 3 jobs sometimes to make ends meet. It’s hard, hell yesterday with no clients on my schedule, my car breaks and it costs me 800.00. I am thinking are you frigging kidding me? Now??
I don’t have the time or the money for this…

But I could have let that steal my joy, I could have went into depression mode, oh poor me, life sucks …or I could say okay…God’s got this and I will not stress and I will keep my joy about all the other things in my life.

I looked at the positive, I am blessed to still have an ex in my life that owns a shop and gave me everything for cost, I chose to be grateful for our friendship and that I got to spend quality time with him while they were fixing my car.
Yes, it sucked that this happened and yes, things are coming at me fast and furious but I chose to look at the good. There is always good… it could always be worst…

I chose….see that word again? Chose to let it go, not stress about it, I chose to hold on to my joy.

I read something recently that if you had $10,000 in the bank and something happened that took $2.00
Would you throw the rest of the money out? Now your thinking what are you crazy why would I do that?
That is what so many of you do, the day is like that bank account when you wake up and then someone or something happens to you through out the day, they take away something, so you throw the whole day away, you let it effect your whole mood, your whole day. Hell, for alot of you, your whole week sometimes.
Why? It’s one thing, one instant, let it go, there was still all these other amazing things that happened but you let that one thing effect it all.

We need to know that we have that choice to get out of bed each and every day and set how our day will be.
Do you really think I like getting up at 5 am every day to go to the gym? Hell  no, I would much rather sleep in but I drag my ass here every day because I know how that will start off my day, that I will feel amazing, recharged, ready to face my day with this energy I have, so I do it .

I chose to drag my ass out of bed, to set my day, I chose to do something good for my body, I chose to be positive, to have joy these are my choices, what are yours?
I appreciate everything I have in my life, every moment, every second, even when the storms are coming at me, I appreciate it as I know it could and has been worst.

So today my friends remember, life is what you make it, what you put out,  are you making it good? Are you focusing on the bad? And do you appreciate what you have?
It’s all a choice, chose wisely….

“Be the change you want to see”

“And just when the caterpillar thought his life over…he turned into a beautiful butterfly”

How music impacts our life

How music impacts our lives

I remember when I got to see one of my favorite gospel super stars, Smokie Norful perform at my church.

I can remember listening to his song “I understand” so many times I almost broke my I pod, it was my ringtone, it was my alarm music, it got me through the day, sometimes even through the seconds when I thought I could no longer go on… this song gave me hope to hold on..
It goes like this…

“Sometimes I feel like giving up, it seems like my best just aint good enough, Lord if you hear me, I’m calling you, do you see? Do you care all about what I’m going through and then he said one more day, one more step, see I’m preparing you, for myself and when you can’t hear my voice, please trust my plan, I am the Lord I see you and yes, I understand.
Sometimes I feel like I’m all alone, I just like a stranger so far from home, I feel like I’ve done all that I could do, please Lord give me strength, I’m just trying to make it through… that’s when he told me..just one more day, just one more step…
I am the Lord I see you and yes, I understand…
I won’t forget nor have I forgot… see everything works according to my plan,
I am God, trust me I got the whole world in my hands”

On those dark nights when I so wanted to quit, to give up, to throw in the towel, this song gave me hope, let me hold on…got me through the night…yes, this song literally saved my life on more than one occasion.

It was as if God himself was telling me, I hear you, hold on, believe, I am working it out for you… don’t give up and I listened, I held on, sometimes if even if it felt like I was holding on to a string that was so broken and frayed, I still held on.

So to be able to see this great artist perform this song, well, you know I was balling. Here I was years later with this wonderful life I dreamed of, in this incredible Church I found, with my Church family listening to this song that brought back so many hard times, so many struggles yet I got through, I held on, I persevered, I listened.

In this weeks video vlog I speak of Whitney Houston song “I didn’t know my own strenght” one of my favorite songs from her even though it’s not one of her most popular ones. It too speaks of finding your strenght, you were knocked down but somehow you found the strenght to get back up, to keep going against all odds.

So many other songs that kept me going as well,  Mary J. Blige “Just fine” Christina Aguilera “Walking on eggshells and Fighter” R.Kelly, “I believe I can fly” Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston “When you believe” Gloria Gaynor, “I Will Survive”
Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel, “For Good” from the Wicked Soundtrack.

These songs and so many others got me through hard times, gave me strenght, gave me courage, they were the words that were in my heart and what my soul was crying out.

They got me through to this blessed life that I am living now. So thank you Mr. Smokie Norful and the thousands of other song writers and singers, who’s music not olny fill our lives but can literally save our lives as well.
Your never know what an impact you have on so many people including myself.

So today my friends, when it seems like your all alone, when all you have is your music to comfort you, pick a song that will give you hope, that will lift you up, that will make you believe you can do anything, that change is coming.

Listen to it, play it over and over again and over again, make it your theme song, your ring tone and then believe…believe…believe that anything is possible because I am living proof that it is…

“Be the change you want to see”

“And just when the caterpillar thought his life over…he turned into a beautiful butterfly”

What is happiness?

What is happiness?

Happiness is an emotional response to an outcome..
If I win I’ll be happy…
If I make more money I’ll be happy…
If I lose weight I’ll be happy…
If I find the right person I’ll be happy…. (oh, that’s a big one!)
But if you don’t, then you won’t be happy. It’s a if-then cause and effect that we cannot sustain because every time we obtain it, we raise the bar higher.

Happiness demands a certain outcome, it is result reliant.
If happiness is what your after, your going to be unhappy and let down much of the time.
You need someone to make you happy, you need something to bring you happiness.

But joy, joy is not a choice, it’s not a response to an result, it’s a constant.
Joy is what we are fashioned to do, no matter what the outcome.
Joy comes from within, joy doesn’t need anything to sustain it, it just is.

Joy is constant no matter if your alone, if you have no money, if the storms are coming at you, you still feel joy. That feeling doesn’t count on other things to keep it going or stop it.

You must learn to find joy in everything, all things, the little things. The sun, the birds, the breeze, a person’s smile, a quote, a meal, laughter, a hug. You must find the joy in all things, you must find joy at where you are, within yourself, with what you have, right now.

Look around at the world, some of the poorest people, people who have endured unimaginable things are some of the most joyous people.
They get it, they know the secret of life, it’s to find the best of the worst situation and then find joy.

Helen Keller, Holocaust Survivor Elie Wiesel and Nelson Mandela all found joy even though their situations seemed hopeless, even though they could have easily and rightfully hated, they chose to find the joy instead.
They chose to forgive, to let go, to move on, to find the joy in life.

If they can do that, if after all they ensured, all they saw, all the pain they went through, if they can find the joy then why can you?
It’s all a choice, like I say on every blog, a choice we chose to make or not make.

I chose to be in a state of joy, to live my life in a state of gratitude, to live in each moment, to be present. Even when the storms are coming at me, even when I am hurting, even when the tears are rolling down my face, I choose to look for the good, to be grateful that it isn’t another way, because it was and I know that. I chose to find joy even in my darkest days, God woke me up, I have a home, I had a meal today, I have friends and family I love….that is enough, that is so much more than so many people have, how can I not be grateful and full of joy.

So today my friends, remember if you don’t have joy, you will never achieve happiness, happiness will never last, happiness is a band aid, joy is your healer.
Learn to find the joy in yourself, in the moment, in the world around you, it is then that you will know the difference.

“Be the change you want to see”

“And just when the caterpillar thought his life over…he turned into a beautiful butterfly”

4 realities of life

4 realities of life

We sometimes think that evil tends to prevail over good, especially lately. With all that’s going on in the world, it’s easy to think that.

But we know that God rules the world in righteous.
Where there seems to be bitterness, sadness, hatred in this world today, remember that God still rules the world.

We need to know that “What you sow you will reap”
You get what you deserve from God…

We need to comply to the laws of the land, even though we are not of this world, we still live in this world, and have to abide to it’s rules.
But we need not to forget that the we need to let the Lord fight your battles, we are all dealing with problems and issues but the solutions of life is found in the word of God. To the many questions you have concerning your life,  all can be found in the word of God.
The way to live successfully, is to live God’s way.
We need to remember what we speak out in the world, what we speak over our lives, will come to pass.
“What soever man thinks he will become”

So many people think that once you become Christian your free of problems, but being a Christian does not mean your problems will go away, just because you are born again doesn’t mean your problems will disappear, they won’t.  Maybe your doing everything right and the enemy is attacking you becuse he knows what blessings God is going to give to you.

God knows if your real or a fake, he knows if you at fault, or if your not sorry. He knows everything about you, so you are delusional if you are walking around thinking your hiding something from him, there is nothing he doesn’t know or will forgive.

Somehow we have gottem into this thing that’s it’s unChristian like to show your pain, your hurts.
We pretend everything is good, that we are perfect, that we are so “Christian”
Yet none of us are without hurts and pain.
We can’t pretend we are not frustrated at times, that we don’t call out to him asking “Why? Why God?”
Or my favorite “When God?”

Let’s be real, you need to go to the word of God, you need to fill yourself up, go to church, do your purpose, help others, you need to be in his presence.

Ask yourself how can God cover to us when we come already covered?
We are all going around saying we are all good, we got this.
We just need to open up to God, tell him our mistakes, own our stuff, so he can transform our mistakes into our testimonies.
One of the best quotes I’ve heard this year was
“We were all born looking like out parents but we will die looking like our decisions”

We make decisions every day, every minute, we have a choice, what are we choosing?

Has every person you come in contact been difficult? Are they here to teach you lessons? It is in those tough decisions, where we built our character.
God is here, don’t block the people who need to help us the most. Or are they here to teach us a lesson? We need to rememeber who are we to judge? Our job is recognized people for who they are, are they here for a season, a lesson, or a lifetime?
What I can tell you is there are 4 realities of life a and here they are.

4 realities of life:

1. There’s a starting point: Everyone starts out at the same point.

2. Choices are given: All of us are given choices.

3. We make mistakes:
We all make mistakes..own up to them

4. Success or failure is your choosing:
You choose success or you choose failure, again it’s a choice you get to make.

When you operate in a spiritual realm not a physical one, you get to chose, you get to change,  you get to tell your testimony.

“But the natural man receive it not the things of the spirit of God for they are fooliness unto him: neither can he know them because they are spiritually desernd”

God had stuff for you, it was written before you were born…
Even though the enemy is coming at you, all the stuff he has for you, you might lose if you are not spiritually desern, you may fall into his traps but if you remain faithful to God he will turn it around for you.
He has you, but the real question is do you have him?

“Be the change you want to see”

“And just when the caterpillar thought his life over…he turned into a beautiful butterfly”

Thank you for all the pain

Thank you for all the pain

I remember when I wrote about forgiving my best friend and how hard that was to be able to do that.
But not only have I forgiving her, I have forgiving everyone else who has ever caused me pain because they have all taught me valuable lessons I needed to learn, like it or not.

See I give thanks for everything in my life, I tell you all the time that every day I live in a constant state of gratitude, even after all I’ve been through, I still give thanks.
There are so many days that I cry because I am so grateful for all I have in my life.

I would not change one thing in my life, not one.
For everything I’ve been through taught me a lesson and made me who I am today.

It’s because of all of these things that I am in this state of gratitude. It’s because I lost so many loved ones that I always appreciate my friends and family and I let them know how much I love them, while they are still here.

It’s because of my drug and alcohol addiction, when I hit rock bottom that I learned to trust God for his help to clean me up.

I am grateful to my rapist, because of him it is where I first learned to truly forgive a person for their actions.

I am grateful for the men in my life that didnt step up, that treated me bad because when God gives me the right one, I will truly know a good man looks like.

It’s because of Mr. Con Artist that I taught my daughters a lesson, of how to not put up with a lying, cheating man.

It’s because I was in a verbally abusive marriage for so many years that I now know my worth and I know what I won’t put up with.

It’s because of friends who hurt me and let me down that I’ve learned not everyone is here for the whole ride and who are my real friends truly are.

It’s because of my girls that I’ve learned that even your own kids can be cruel to you and yet you will still put down your life for them.

Its because of all of my failures that I’ve learned to never give up, to keep getting up no matter how many times life knocks you down.

I am grateful to my grandmother for being such a mean and negative person because of her, I learned that I never wanted to be like her and I chose to be positive and happy every day.

I am grateful for my mom and dad’s (yes, both, my real dad and my stepfather) for teaching me the value of hardwork and teaching me that a girl can do anything a boy can do.

I am grateful that I once had a lot of money and I learned that money doesn’t buy you happiness, a lesson I didn’t realize for a long time.

Its because of all the pain and hurt I have endured that made me into this, a strong and determined women.

It is because of God that I realized that I am blessed and that I can count on him for my every need. That I  must look for the lessons in my pain, that I must forgive and love, even my enemies no matter how hard it is and believe me it is hard.

That I am grateful for all the pain and for hitting rock bottom twice, for I would have never known how blessed I am now.
That all of these people and all of these events made me live my life in this sense of gratitude each and every day because I know where I’ve been and what I’ve been through.

I am so glad I am here, yes hurt, beat up, knocked down but definitely wiser, stronger, smarter because of it. I am able to, hopefully help others see that they will get through their tough times as well, that there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. That you can change and you can do anything you set your mind to!

So today my friends, remember not everything that happens to you is bad,  don’t look at it as poor me or why me, don’t look at all of these things and these people that did you wrong and not learn a lesson from it. No, look at it as what is the lesson? Look at what I do have? Look at how blessed you are in other areas in your life. Ask yourself how can I change?
What can I do to overcome and be better for it.

It’s all up to you, either you can say look at all the pain you caused me or you can say thank you for the pain, the choice is yours.
